There are thousands of stadiums across the world. Some are built specifically for particular sports and others for multipurpose use. Stadiums are venues for sports, concerts, trade fairs and conventions. Due to technological advancements across the globe, building large modern stadiums is very costly and such stadiums are meant to host big events with many fans. Such events are entertaining and people can make money by betting on them. The list below highlights some of the most expensive stadiums in the world that host popular events.

Yankee Stadium

Ranked as the second-most-expensive stadium in the world, Yankee Stadium in the United States was constructed at a cost of approximately 1.5 billion US dollars. It hosts the MLB baseball, New York Yankees, MLS football club and New York City football clubs. Since 2009 when it was opened, the stadium has hosted over 47,000 baseball matches and over 28,000 football matches. Many bettors have made a lot of money by betting on these matches.

Olympic Stadium

This is a multipurpose stadium nicknamed “The Big Owe”, located in Canada. It was built in the 1970s at a cost of 1.47 billion US dollars and served as the venue for the 1976 Summer Olympics. It is the largest stadium in Canada. It hosts baseball and football clubs of Montreal and special events such as concerts and trade shows. The games played in this stadium are popular with bettors.

AT&T Stadium

Located in the United States, AT&T Stadium was completed in 2009 and it is the fourth-most-expensive stadium in the world. It was constructed at a cost of 1.4 billion US dollars and has an outstanding feature, a retractable roof. It is used by the Dallas Cowboys NFL club and hosts some of the best games for betting such as basketball matches, concerts, motocross, and Rodeos.
