Post Your Jobs
Members and non-members can post interpretation jobs for free.
For best results from your job posting, prepare an email with:
• subject line including job title and location, eg., “Mine Interpreters – Crowsnest Pass, Alberta”
• your posting in the body of the email message (attachments will not be sent through)
Members are asked to subscribe to the IC Jobs listserve as per instructions here and post their jobs directly:
• send your posting email to ICJobs@yahoogroups.com
• it may take a day or so to get through as approval steps are taken to prevent spam
• ensure that you are sending from the same address you receive ICJobs postings at
Non-members can simply send their postings to jobs@interpcan.ca
When you send your email to either address, your posting will go directly to the email addresses of the 500 or so people on the list.
Your posting will also be posted on the ICJobs website at Yahoo Groups, although very few people access them this way. But you may find it interesting to look at all the postings over the years and see the ranges of duties, pay rates etc. Click on the Yahoo Groups link under email listserves meunu above, and sign up with Yahoo Groups if you’d like to explore the past postings. Just make sure you sign off each time you go to Yahoo Groups to minimize spam.
Using Yahoo Groups allows IC to offer this free service to members and non-member employers. Members also self-serve their subscriptions to IC listserves to keep membership costs low. For example, you can choose to receive ICJobs emails in digest form rather than as individual emails.
