About IC's New Website

Here you'll find new features, expanded information and much more. Perhaps the largest change, however, is under the hood. This new website allows IC to make it easier for members to make their own additions to our site. If you've got an event, an electronic document you'd like to share or comments you'd like to make, this new website makes it easier for IC to faciliate that involvement. Poke around you'll find all sorts of new things.

Some of the highlights are:

Private Areas - The first time you visit, you'll notice that there's a box you can use to log in; this new website has special spaces specifically set aside for IC members.

Digital Library - It's been a goal for awhile to have back issues of InterpScan available through the IC website; the Digital Library is that with over 130 articles - and growing! In the long term, it will become a central repository for all manner of digital documents -InterpScan articles, digitized workshop handouts, useful interpretive resources, IC-related documents and publications-- there are many possibilities. Also, members will have the ability to submit their own documents to the library, if they'd like to share them with others.

Events Listings - There are dozens of great professional development activities happening each week across this country, but it has always been difficult for one person to try and compile these regularly into a single list for our website. Now, any member can contribute an event easily to the Events Listings on the new website through a quick online form; members can also search for events now based on either date or category.

Photo Albums - Got some great snaps from a recent IC event? You'll now be able to upload them to the IC website for immediate inclusion into the appropriate photo album to share with other members. Once you log on for the first time, expect to find albums already full with photos from a number of past IC events.

These are just a few of the new features you'll find on the website. To get a better look at each of them, click on the appropriate link on the left side of this page. (Some will not become visible until you log-in with your username/password.

As mentioned earlier, the biggest changes are under the hood of this new site, hidden from view. That means that in the future we will be able to continue to offer new services to our membership as we install new "modules". Keep your eyes peeled.
